FOUNDATIONS OF BUSINESS
BUS 1050-006
SUMMER SEMSTER 2013
Foundations of business is a beginning survey course on the philosophical view of different fundamental aspects of business. This class took a look at business around the world, socioeconomics, the human factor and ethics in the workplace and social responsibility in the global market. Below are reflections that briefly describe what I learned and thought about different lessons, readings, and/or videos I was introduced to during the course.

To Trade or Not to Trade?!
SWOT Analysis
A SWOT analysis is a decision making tool that measures the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and ideas in order to assist with the making of a particular decision. Our class separated into two different groups. One group was to represent the European interest of the trade, and the other the South American interest. As a group we came up with the SWOT analysis and then came back as a class to debate whether or not we should participate in trade with one another. Ultimately (I was in the European group) we decided to trade. Below are two attachments. The first is the for we used to determine the SWOT of the Columbian trade. The second attachment is the letter I wrote as a European to the King and Queen of Spain.
